Gilau village is also called "The Gate of the Apuseni Mountains". In this place you are in the middle of one of the most interesting touristical areas of Transylvania (Romania), in the famous Kalotaszeg (Huedin depression) and at the legs of the Apuseni Mountains, with an enormous touristical potential.

Deze 3 sterren camping in Gilau, Apuseni gebergte, West Karpaten, is een echte aanrader.
Alle westerse voorzieningen aanwezig, ook voor mindervaliden, strandbad met zonneweide, 3 sterren restaurant, gratis draadloos internet, camperservice station, excursies, rafting, grottentochten, paardenkartrips, jeepsafaries en nog veel meer. Deze camping was de eerste buitenlandse camping in Roemenie en volgens velen de beste en is onder nederlands beheer. Gilau wordt ook genoemd "De Poort van het Apuseni Gebergte", een uniek (karst-) natuurgebied met o.a. meer dan 10.000 grotten, waaronder de op een na grootste ijsgrot met gletsjer in Europa. Verder veel folklore en cultuur in authentiek Hongaars gebied, Romeinse nederzettingen en opgravingen, bergmineralen en fossielen en nog veel meer.
